The Illawarra Sports Stadium (ISS) is a not for profit organisation with all income spent on services to the community.
It features a 4-court international standard stadium with associated facilities which has been fully operational since 1992. This venue is a multi-purpose indoor sport and recreation complex managed and operated on a voluntary basis by members of the Illawarra community.
In that time, the Illawarra Sports Stadium has provided a high standard complex for sporting and recreational activities for many organisations, as well as providing a home for netball and basketball and other related sporting activities.
Illawarra Sports Stadium has two major halls or operational areas each of approximately 1400sqm which have a very wide range of functions and opportunities.
There is a mezzanine area of some 250sqm which provides an excellent viewing of the activities at the Stadium and complements the major halls.
Complementing these areas are public amenities, change rooms, training and multifunction room, first aid room and a professional room for meetings and VIP guests. The Stadium grandstand seats some 350 with room for additional temporary grandstands
The Stadium and associated facilities are available Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 4.00pm though out the year and all weekends from mid-September to April each year. From April to mid-September each year many Sundays are available.
