Andy King

Andy King was elected on to the Board in 2018, as liaison for the Uni Basketball League (UBL), a major sports partner of the Illawarra Sports Stadium. In 2023, Andy was invited to lead as Chairman of ISS. Andy’s vision for ISS is rooted in community leadership and organisational performance. 

Andy’s is passionate about social impact and is an avid basketball enthusiast. In 2008, Andy co-founded the UBL, a player-centric social basketball competition in Wollongong. The UBL is a next-generation social enterprise, more relaxed than other competitions and focused on community development. At the Illawarra Sports Stadium, UBL’s membership continues to grow under Andy’s management, with new programs introduced every year to cater for growing demand.

Andy has extensive experience in the tech industry, and is highly skilled at business development, process improvement, digital strategy and transformation. With his tech expertise, Andy plays a pivotal role in the adaptability and future-proofing of Illawarra Sports Stadium.
